Working with Active Norfolk, the EasyActive8 (www.EasyActive8.com) team are supporting children and adults with inclusive fitness classes to promote a healthy lifestyle...

Following the start of lockdown, Active Engineering Systems recognised that amongst all the fitness classes available to the public, none were specifically designed to be inclusive for all and for those specifically with special educational needs (SEN). Since the inception of the EasyActive8 website (www.easyactive8.com), to enable users to active active at home, we have commenced weekly online classes for Seated Yoga, Pilates, Aerobic, Dance and PE which are available to book online.

The nature of EasyActive8 sessions being live as well as limiting class numbers meant that the platform is well suited to accommodating specialist groups. EasyActive8 are now working with Active Norfolk on their ‘On The Move’ project, working alongside their partners such as Assist Trust (Transition and Progression Services for People with Learning Disabilities in Norfolk: http://assist-trust.co.uk/) and the Special Olympics (www.specialolympicsgb.org.uk).

“On The Move” project is a 10 week programme aimed at supporting and maintaining a healthy balanced active life. EasyActive8 have produced a range of on demand classes to facilitate activity centres for children and adults with Special Education Needs (SEN). Once the programme is complete, participants will be encouraged to continue their activities online with weekly classes from EasyActive8. All instructors are fully qualified and highly experienced. These live ‘inclusive’ classes are available to book now via the website at: https://easyactive8.com/inclusive-sen/.
